Californie - partie 2 California - part 2

We went to visit the other side of the Sierra mountains. We stopped at Lac Isabella for lunch and then took route 155. What a mistake !!! This road is very twisted with a lot of steep hills. We had to disconnect the car from the RV because of the steep hills.

We visited the National Parks Sequoia and Kings Canyon, that are next to each other. We see a number of very large sequoia trees. The sequoias are one of the largest, tallest and oldest trees in the world. We had to forget all that we knew about vegetation up to now, because we had the opportunity to see the 2 largest trees in the world. We went through one with the car and walked inside an other. We found a number of large pine cones.

We also visited Yosemite Nation Park. The park is a vast valley with large rock face mountains and breath taking waterfalls. At one of the stops, we were able to see a panoramic view of the valley with a water fall, the rock face named El Captain and a number of large trees.
